Brocation
Back to Brocation

Fifteen years in the making. Fourteen of those we did nothing.

Two of us bought brocation.com about fifteen years ago. There was no plan. The name was funny, it was available, and that felt like enough at the time.

Offers came in over the years. Every time we countered with a number so absurd that the point was never the money, it was seeing what they would write back. Nobody ever took it. So we kept the domain, kept paying the renewal, and kept planning our own trips the same miserable way as everybody else. A group chat, four hundred messages, three guys who never answer, and a budget everyone agrees to and nobody means.

What changed was not a business plan. It was that two guys who do not write software could suddenly build a real site. So we finally did.

This is version one and we are treating it that way. The first thing we built is the per-head splitter, because every trip comes down to one number somebody has to send the group. The guides cover the trips that actually happen: golf weekends, bachelor parties, ski weeks, and the lake house nobody wants to organize.

We are working out what is useful by watching what gets used. If this saves you an hour of research and one argument, that is the idea. It is roughly the same idea we had fifteen years ago. It just took a while to build.

Brocation earns a commission when you book through links here. It never costs you extra, and every program we work with is listed on the disclosure page.
