What an Atlantic City bachelor party actually costs

Updated September 2026

$317 to $1,748 a man for three nights with twelve guys. There is no flight line here for most groups, because Atlantic City is about an hour from Philadelphia and two and a half from New York, and the nearest major airport is the most expensive in this guide. The $317 low is the cheapest weekend anywhere on this list by a wide margin.

Per man, three nights, group of twelve. Most groups drive, so no flight is included. Low is January or February midweek. High is a July or August weekend.

Why the low end is so low

Casino rooms run $40 to $75 a night in January and February. Two to a room, three nights, that is $113 a man for the entire weekend.

The federal meals rate for Atlantic City is $68 a day, the lowest of any destination in this guide. The boardwalk casinos are contiguous, so the transport line is a genuine zero rather than a rounded one.

Midweek rates run 30 to 50 percent below weekend pricing all year round, and Sunday through Wednesday stays sit under $150 a night even at the major properties in shoulder season.

The honest part: January and February are cheap because the beach is unusable and the boardwalk is dead. That is a fine trade if the trip is a casino trip, and a bad one if anybody was picturing the beach.

The beach club is the worst value in this entire guide

HQ2 at Ocean Casino opens Saturday and Sunday only, noon to seven. The cheapest table is a daybed for eight guests at a $1,500 minimum spend, which does not fit twelve. The next size up is a bungalow for up to fifteen at a $10,000 minimum.

At twelve guys that is $833 each. It is the worst per head scaling of any venue we priced across nine destinations, and it is single handedly responsible for the high column in the table above.

If someone in your group wants the beach club, price it honestly in front of everyone before you commit. It roughly triples the trip.

Table minimums are the number to check on arrival

Atlantic City's whole pitch is that gambling is cheaper here than in Vegas, and broadly it is. But the last decent public survey of table minimums across the AC casinos is from 2022 and we are not going to print four year old numbers as current.

Walk the floor and check before you sit down. Minimums move by property, by day and by time of night, and the difference between a $10 and a $25 table across a weekend is real money for twelve people.

When to go

July and August weekends are the only genuinely expensive dates, at $150 to $250 a night against $40 to $75 in January. Short term rental revenue in August is 7.4 times January's, the most extreme seasonal swing of the nine destinations here.

The best windows are May, June and September: manageable crowds, better casino promotions, and the beach is actually usable. Avoid the Atlantic City Airshow in late August, which draws over 400,000 people.
