What a Miami bachelor party actually costs
Updated September 2026
$1,120 to $2,273 a man for three nights with twelve guys, before flights. Add about $406 for a round trip into MIA and you get $1,526 to $2,679 all in. Fly into Fort Lauderdale instead and the whole thing drops by nearly a hundred dollars a head, which is the first of three things this page will tell you that other Miami guides do not.
The line by line
| What | Low | High |
|---|---|---|
| Where you sleep | $129 | $373 |
| The boat | $316 | $600 |
| Food and bar | $600 | $1,200 |
| Getting around | $75 | $100 |
| Total | $1,120 | $2,273 |
Per man, three nights, group of twelve, excluding flights. Low is September. High is February or March.
Fly into Fort Lauderdale
The average domestic round trip into Miami was $405.58 in the first quarter of 2026. Into Fort Lauderdale it was $309.73. That is a 24 percent difference on an airport roughly thirty miles from South Beach.
At twelve guys that is about $1,150 saved on flights alone, for one extra highway leg. It is a sourced federal number and almost nobody prints it.
What a boat actually costs
This is the line people guess at and get wrong in both directions.
A fifty to seventy foot boat, which is the right size for twelve, runs $3,000 to $5,500 for a half day and $4,500 to $8,500 for a full day. That includes a certified captain, at least one crew member, fuel for the scheduled route, dockage, ice and water.
What is not included, and what turns a $3,000 quote into $3,795: a fuel surcharge of $300 to $500 per four hour cruise, a possible 15 percent service fee, and a gratuity of 15 to 20 percent of the base charter that is genuinely expected rather than optional.
So budget $316 a man at the bottom and $600 at the top. In peak season, November through April, book four to eight weeks out.
Miami has the most expensive food and drink in this guide
The federal meals rate for Miami-Dade is $92 a day, the highest of the nine destinations we cost out. The average cocktail is $22, which is 69 percent above Las Vegas at $13.
That is why food and bar is the biggest single line in the table, larger than lodging at both ends. Miami is the one destination in this guide where the high end is genuinely uncapped, and where the bar tab, not the hotel, is what wrecks a budget.
November is the window
The federal lodging per diem runs $232 in February and March against $145 from June through September. Short term rental revenue in March is 3.6 times September's.
September through November sits 30 to 50 percent below peak. September is hurricane season at its statistical worst. November is not, the weather is good, and it is barely three weeks before the December peak begins.
The dates to avoid outright: Art Basel in early December, Ultra in late March, the Formula 1 Grand Prix in May, and spring break through March. Verify exact dates before you book, because they move.
